The Sanctuary for Senior Dogs is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, adoption, and lifelong care of senior dogs abandoned in pounds and shelters.

All of our dogs are safe from the threat of euthanasia. They live in loving foster homes, eat a high quality diet, and get regular vet care and exercise. Please do not network our dogs as urgent; they are never urgent. We adopt within 100 miles of Cleveland, Ohio. We do not do distance adoptions.
If you are looking for an older dog and you do not live in NE Ohio, please go to your local shelter and ask for an older dog. Many shelters routinely put older dogs down because they believe no one will want them. Put your name on a list, call them every day, but spread the word in your community that old dogs make great companions. You may just save the life of your best friend.
