NOW IT’S TIME TO PACK YOUR DONATIONS INTO BOXES OR BAGS.
Place your donations at your front door and label each bag, box, or container with a tag that says “DonateStuff.” This makes sure we collect the right items on pickup day.
WE’LL COME TO YOU AND COLLECT YOUR DONATIONS.
The driver will stop by on the designated date and leave you a receipt and a tax deduction form. Now you can enjoy the satisfaction of having a tidier house and knowing you’re supporting charities that are doing great things in Detroit!
WHAT ITEMS CAN BE DONATED?
We gratefully accept the following gently used items:
CLOTHING
From tiny baby shoes to huge winter coats, we gladly accept all sizes and varieties of gently used clothing for the entire family. You can donate footwear, hats, jewelry, belts, and purses, in addition to sweaters, dresses, and blue jeans. Donate your clothes for charity in Detroit today!
HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
We’re happy to take everything from rugs, drapes, and towels to blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags that are still in usable condition. We also accept smaller household items such as pots, pans, dinnerware, small appliances, tools, and other home goods that are in good condition.
TOYS & SPORTS EQUIPMENT
Gently used and clean toys, dolls, action figures, board games, sports equipment, or that bicycle your child has outgrown—they can all bring joy to another child.
ELECTRONIC GAMES/DEVICES
Your old Nintendo Wii, Xbox, PlayStation, or DVD player could bring happiness to another person. We welcome radios, tablets, small TVs, computers, monitors, and laptops as long as they are still in good working order.
SMALL FURNITURE/APPLIANCES
Small furniture and appliances that are easy to carry are welcome! We’ll take your chairs, lamps, nightstands, headboards, cabinets, and other small household appliances and furniture.
BOOKS & OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Donate your books, musical instruments, or small kitchen appliances such as toasters, blenders, coffee pots, and microwaves, as long as they are still in good condition. Another family will be more than happy to have them!
UNFORTUNATELY WE CAN’T TAKE LARGE FURNITURE OR APPLIANCES, ENCYCLOPEDIA SETS, MAGAZINES, NEWSPAPERS, CRIBS, INFANT/CHILD CAR SEATS, MATTRESSES, OR BOX SPRINGS.
